| Riavision is the Richmond Improvement Association's on-line media network developed to give viewers an in-depth look at the faith-based group's organizing work in the community When RIA as formed in 1999, one of the goals was to document the various meetings, forums, events and workshops, as a way to evaluate the group's progress and create a better way of promoting the organization's work in the City of Richmond. Riavision is the brainchild of Rev. Andre Shumake and minister of information Doug Harris, a East Bay media producer. Riavision was developed as a new and creative model for other faith-based groups and nonprofits to use as a viable tool to help build their respective communities through media technology.
